Penggunaan Berbagai Jenis Substrat Konsorsium Trichoderma Virens Endofit Asal Kelapa Sawit Untuk Mengendalikan Ganoderma Boninense Pada Pembibitan Utama Kelapa Sawit
ABSTRACT
This study aims to obtain the type of endophytic Trichoderma virens consortium
substrate from oil palm to control Ganoderma boninense that causes basal stem rot (BSR)
disease in oil palm main nurseries. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden and
Laboratory of Plant Disease Faculty of Agiculture, Riau University from April-November 2021.
This research is an advanced research carried out experimentally using a non-factorial
randomized block design (RBD). The treatments were the type of T. virens consortium substrate
consisting of K (without substrate application), PKS (substrate made from palm frond flour), PS
(substrate made from sago starch flour), AT (substrate made from tofu pulp flour) and AS
(substrate made from sago pulp flour). Parameters observed were disease attack intensity,
seedling height increment, leaf number increment, stem diameter increment, root volume, root
crown ratio and seed dry weight. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and
continued with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) at 5% level to compare the mean of each
treatment. The results show that the application of T. virens consortium substrate made from
palm frond flour had a better ability than other treatments in controlling BSR disease attack with
the lowest disease attack intensity, increasing the gowth of the stem height, increasing plant
height gain, increasing number of leaves, increasing stem diameter, root volume, root crown
ratio, and seedling dry weight.
