Pengaruh Vermikompos Dan Pupuk Urea Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Kailan (Brassica Oleracea L.) Di Tanah Ultisol
ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the effect of the interaction between vermicompost and urea fertilizer, as well as knowing the best dose of each single factor on the growth and production of kailan (Brassica oleracea L.) in Ultisol media. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, from February to March 2023. This research is a 4 x 3 factorial experiment arranged according to Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the dose of vermicompost fertilizer (V) which consists of four levels, namely; V0 = 0 t.ha-1 (0 g per plant) V1 = 7,5 t.ha-1 (45 g per plant) V2 = 15 t.ha-1 (90 g per plant) V3 = 22,5 t.ha-1 (135 g per plant). The second factor was urea fertilizer dose (U), which consisted of 3 levels, namely; U1 = 220 kg.ha-1 (1,1 g per plant) U2 = 440 kg.ha-1 (2,2 g per plant) U3 = 360 kg.ha-1 (3,3 g per plant). The data obtained were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and continued with Duncan's new multiple range test 5% level. Parameters observed were plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), number of leaves (sheet), leaf area (cm2) and fresh weight fit for consumption (g). Application of vermicompost 90 g per plant (15 t.ha-1) and 3,3 g urea per plant (660 kg.ha-1) showed better growth and yield of kailan plants. The factor of vermicompost and urea administration increased plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, and fresh weight according to consumption. The best dose of vermicompost for growth and production of kailan plants was obtained from giving a dose of 135 g per plant (22,5 t.ha-1) with the best urea 3,3 g per plant (660 kg.ha-1)
