Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Ekstrak Kulit Jengkol (Pithecellobium Lobatum Benth) Terhadap Hama Ulat Grayak Jagung (Spodoptera Frugiperda J. E. Smith) Di Laboratorium
ABSTRACT
Jengkol is a typical plant from the Southeast Asian region, especially in Indonesia which has spread the various parts of Indonesia. The part of jengkol plant can be use as a vegetable pesticide is the jengkol peel. Jengkol peel contains alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, and tannins. The aim of this study was to obtain an effective concentration of jengkol peel extract to control Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith corn armyworm pest in the laboratory. This research was carried out experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications to obtain 20 experimental units. The concentration of jengkol peel extract use was 0 g.l-1 water, 25 g.l-1 water, 50 g.l-1 water, 75 g.l-1 water, 100 g.l-1 water and 50 g.l-1 water. Parameters for observation were time of initial death (hours), lethal time 50 (hours), lethal concentration (LC50 dan LC95) (%), daily mortality (%), total mortality, temperature and humidity. Jengkol peel extract with a concentration of 100 g.l-1 water is an effective concentration in controlling corn pests (Spodoptera frugiperda) in the laboratory because this concentration can use a total mortality of 90% with an initial death time of 17,25 hours after application and the lethal time 50 at 60,75 hours after application.
