ABSTRACT
The area of oil palm plantations in Indonesia is 14.663 million Ha and in Riau Province, it will be 2.860 million Ha in 2021, most of which have entered the replanting phase so good seeds must be prepared as an important factor to produce good oil palm seeds. Good oil palm seeds have one radicle and one plumule, but sometimes oil palm sprouts have more than one radicle and one plumule that grow or are called polyembryonic sprouts so they need care to meet nutrient requirements and seedling growth is not disturbed due to competition. between plants in one polybag. One of the ways to create good conditions for seedling growth is by separating the seedlings at the age of more than two months before being transferred to the main nursery and applying NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer which contains macro and micro nutrients for plants. This research was conducted experimentally which consisted of two factors. The first factor was the origin of the oil palm seeds which consisted of 6 levels and the second factor was the application of NPK fertilizer which consisted of three levels that were combined and repeated three times. The results showed that the growth of oil palm seedlings was better from mono embryonic seeds and NPK 16:16:16 dose of 47.5 g.plant-1.
