ABSTRACT
Green bean (Vigna radiata L.) is a legume commodity that has been widely consumed by people in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the result and quality of green bean seeds by adjusting the spacing and applying phosphorus with potassium fertilizers and combination that gives the best result and quality of seed. This research was conducted from April to August 2022 in Riau University. This study used an experimental method using a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with 2 factors, 9 treatments and 3 replications. First factor is adjusting the plant spacing and the second factor is dose of P fertilizer with K. The parameters are plant height, number of primary branches, number of fruitful pods per plant, percentage of fruitful pods per plant, seed weight per m2, weight of 100 seeds, raw germination test, growth vigor test, plumule and radicle growth test. The results showed that adjusting the plant spacing and applying P fertilizer with K only increased plant height, number of primary branches, number of fruitful pods per plant, percentage of fruitful pods per plant and seed weight per m2. Adjusting the spacing plant increased plant height, number of primary branches, number of fruitful pods per plant, percentage of fruitful pods per plant, seed weight per m2, raw sprout test and growth speed test. Dosing TSP fertilizer with KCl only increases plant height. The best treatment is spacing plant of 20 cm x 40 cm and the application of 150 kg.ha of P fertilizer with K 100 kg.ha-1.
