Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanam Padi Gogo Dengan Pemberian Zeolit Fly Ash Dan Pupuk N Di Tanah Podsolik (Ultisol)
ABSTRACT
Optimal growth and yield of upland rice on podzolic soil (ultisol) can be achieved by adding soil amendments such as synthetic zeolite and N fertilizer. This study aims to study the interaction effect of zeolite fly ash and N fertilizer and to determine the best dose of zeolite fly ash and N fertilizer on growth and yield of upland rice in podzolic soil. The research was conducted from July to November 2022 at the Greenhouse and Laboratory of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The study was carried out experimentally in factorial form using a completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor was zeolite fly ash consisting of 3 levels (0; 1 and 1.5 g per polybag ) and the second factor was N fertilizer consisting of 4 levels (0; 0.43; 0.47 and 1.3 g per polybag ), each combination was repeated 3 times. Parameters observed were plant height, maximum number of tillers, number of productive tillers, flowering age, harvesting age, number of healthy grain per panicle, percentage of healthy grain per clump, weight of 1000 healthy grain grains and weight of dry milled grain per clump. The results showed that the highest increase in plant height, maximum number of tillers, number of productive tillers, weight of 1000 grainy grains and highest weight of dry milled grain per clump was obtained by administering zeolite fly ash dose of 1.5 g and N fertilizer dose of 1.3 g per polybag compared without zeolite fly ash and N fertilizer. Giving zeolite fly ash dose of 1.5 g per polybag affected the maximum number of tillers, number of productive tillers, number of good grain per panicle, percentage of good grain per clump, weight of 1000 good grain grains. The application of N fertilizer at a dose of 1.3 g per polybag had an effect on plant height, maximum number of tillers, number of productive tillers, harvest age, weight of 1000 full grain grains and weight of dry milled grain per clump. The yield on the greenhouse scale after being converted to hectares with a population of 160,000 clumps (25 cm x 25 cm spacing) is 11.48 t.ha -1.
