ABSTRACT
Chip pin processing plays an important role in the pulping production process. Pin chip separation was carried out on the pin screen diamond roll acrowood machine which aims to separate pin chips from fines. A decrease in the performance of the diamond roll acrowood pin screen machine will reduce pulp production at PT RAPP. The purpose of this research is to study the factors influencing the performance of the pin screen diamond roll screen acrowood machine. The data to be taken was secondary data of inlet samples coming from conveyor 341C358, data on the number of accept pin chips was taken from chips after screening on conveyor 341C370 and while data from fines or rejects was taken from conveyor 341C371 which went to the bark pile. Based on the observations that have been made, it can be concluded that the performance value of the diamond roll acrowood pin screen machine ranges from 30% to 98%. The amount of chip inlet production is an influencing factor on the performance value of the diamond roll acrowood pin screen machine. The higher the number of inlets, the higher the performance value of the acrowood diamond pin screen machine. Chip inlet production is influenced by the source of the pin chip inlet, which is between the chip screening machine and the chip thickness screen machine. The quality of the inlet on the diamond roll pin screen machine is influenced by the source of the raw material. Raw material for pin chips is sourced from all chip deck screening machines and chip thickness screen machines fiberline 1 and fiberline 2.
