Analisis Pengaruh Nilai Tukar, Perekonomian Dunia Terhadap Ekspor Dan Perekonomian Provinsi Riau Tahun 2001-2020

Exports are an engine of growth, therefore, high and sustainable levels of
economic growth are generally supported by increased exports. The great
dependence of the Riau Province's economy on exports makes external turbulent
variables such as exchange rates and the economies of trading partner countries
affect the development of exports and the economy of Riau Province.
The aims of the research are (1) to find out whether the exchange rate affects
the exports of Riau Province; (2) To find out whether the World GDP affects the
exports of Riau Province; (3) To find out whether the exchange rate has an effect on
the PDRB of Riau Province; (4) To find out whether the World GDP affects the PDRB
of Riau Province; (5) To find out whether exports affect the PDRB of Riau Province;
(6) To find out whether the exchange rate affects GRDP through the Riau Province
export channel; and (7) To find out whether the World GDP affects GRDP through
the Riau Province export channel.
This study uses quantitative methods to analyze research problems. The data
used is secondary data with the observation period 2001-2020 obtained from
published data from the Central Bureau of Statistics, Bank Indonesia and the World
Bank. The research variables consist of independent variables, namely the exchange
rate (X1) and World GDP (X2), the interim variable is exports (Y1) and the
dependent variable is Riau's GDP (Y2). The analytical method used is path analysis
to see the direct and indirect effects of the independent variables on the dependent
variable.
The results of research on line one show that the exchange rate and World
GDP have a direct and significant effect on Riau's exports. The results on track two
show that the exchange rate, world GDP and exports have a direct and significant
effect on the PDRB of Riau Province. Meanwhile, the indirect effect of the exchange
rate on the PDRB of Riau Province through the export channel was -4889.64. This
means that if there is a strengthening of the US$/Rupiah exchange rate, it will reduce
the performance of Riau Province's GRDP through the export channel of -4,889.64
million. And the indirect effect of world GDP on the PDRB of Riau Province through
the export channel is 14.32634. This means that if there is an increase in world GDP,
it will increase the performance of Riau Province's GRDP through the export
channel of 14.32634 million..
