Evaluasi Intensitas Kebisingan Lingkungan Kerja Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Pt. Bina Pitri Jaya
ABSTRACT
Noise had the potential to affect comfort and health, especially from the
operational activities of palm oil mill equipment. The risk of hearing damage to
employees could be caused by noise exposure due to high noise levels or excessive
cumulative exposure time. This study aimed to analyze the noise of the work
environment at PT Bina Pitri Jaya, determined the maximum time of exposure to
noise sources based on NIOSH, map the pattern of noise distribution using Surfer
13, and chose control alternatives. Data collection was carried out for 24 hours
in 10 days at 95 measurement points, with the result that 35 points exceeded the
NAV, the point with the highest noise obtained an LSM value of 100.96 dB, and
the point with the lowest noise obtained an LSM value of 70.47 dB. Obtained the
exposure time allowed at the point >85 dB, namely at the point with the highest
noise intensity that was allowed to be exposed for 18.40 minutes. In the mapping
of noise distribution patterns, five color categories were obtained with an interval
of 6 dB for each color, and it was concluded that the type of spatial distribution
pattern was a dispersed pattern. This study divided noise control into three parts:
control of the noise source, control of the propagation medium, and control of the
receiver.
