Implementasi Virtual Reality Pada Gedung Gonggong Sebagai Media Informasi Pariwisata Di Kota Tanjungpinang

ABSTRACT
The rapid development of information media, accompanied by the advancement of technology that provides convenience for humans to effectively, quickly, accurately, and beneficially convey information or messages, is undeniable. One of the technological advancements that supports information media is Virtual Reality (VR). Tourism-related information media in Tanjungpinang City is one of the topics discussed in this research. The research object is the Gonggong Building, which is the Tourist Information Center (TIC) or Tourism Information Center in Tanjungpinang City. The building has faced problems in its function as a Tourism Information Center due to damage and the repair phase. VR becomes an alternative solution to the problem because it offers interactive message presentation and an immersive environment to attract users. VR also addresses how to provide an immersive virtual environment of the Gonggong Building to users through a Tourism Information Media designed to be delivered interactively and communicatively without the need to visit the building. The purpose of this research is to implement Virtual Reality in the Gonggong Building, with the output being a website for the immersive VR experience of the Gonggong Building and the presentation of tourism information content about Tanjungpinang City within it. The presentation of tourism information content is delivered by a Tour Guide Chatbot. The method used in this research is MDLC. The research results in the form of a VR website for the Gonggong Building containing information about tourism in Tanjungpinang City, including local cuisine, destinations, natural attractions, and traditional attire melayu of the Riau Islands. The result of testing methods with 25010 obtained very good results with Grade B on performance GTmetrix , in testing the efficiency of the system in getting a response time 5,8s fully loaded time page.
