Kajian Palinologi Famili Asteraceae Di Lingkungan Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru Riau
ABSTRACT
Riau University is one distribution area of Asteraceae species. The purpose of this study was to identify the species of Asteraceae found at the University of Riau and study the morphological characters of the pollen. Sampling in the field was carried out by the exploratory method. Pollen preparations were prepared using the non-acetolysis and acetolysis method. Their morphological characters were observed using an Olympus CX-23 microscope. A total of 11 characters were scored and analyzed using NTSYSpc-2.1 to construct a dendrogram. The pollen of all examined species of Asteraceae share the similar characteristic of pollen, monad, mediae, subspheroidal and echinat ornamentation. The shape of apertures found is colpus and porus, with tricolpate (two species), tricolporate (six species) and tetracolporate (one species) of apertura shape. The dendrogram construted from pollen characteristic is devided into two main clusters, based on the number of apertura.
Key findings : Acetolisis, Asteraceae, Palinology, Pollen.
