Transformasi Struktur Sektor Ekonomi Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu Tahun 2017-2022
The transformation of the economic sector structure is a phenomenon in
the process of changing from the agricultural sector to the industrial or service
sector, so that each economy experiences different transformations according to
demand and supply in economic activity. Labor absorption of the economic sector
is determined by the quality of the workforce which is the ability in economic
activities for regional economic growth to grow and advance. The economic
sector in Indragiri Hulu Regency is grouped into three groups, namely the
primary, secondary and tertiary sectors. When viewed from the movement of
changes in the economic sector structure of Indragiri Hulu Regency 2017-2022.
Where in 2022 there was a slight increase from the primary sector to the
secondary sector. With a magnitude of 4.30 percent of the primary sector while
the secondary sector is 5.52 percent, then the tertiary sector is higher than the
primary and secondary sectors which is 6.64 percent, the highest and positive
value of proportional shift in the sector in Indragiri Hulu Regency in 2017-2022
is located in the industrial processing sector (secondary sector), followed by the
agricultural and forestry sector (primary sector) then wholesale traders and retail
(secondary sector) then this sector is a relatively fast growing sector. The
transformation of the economic sector structure in Indragiri Hulu Regency from
2017 to 2022 has an effect on labor absorption, so that the results of the elasticity
of employment opportunities show that sectors that have a high level of
productivity will absorb more labor than sectors with lower productivity. So that
the sector is said to have flexibility and sensitivity in labor absorption, the sector
that is elastic in labor demand is the mining and quarrying sector, followed by the
construction sector and the manufacturing sector. Where sectors that have high
productivity can contribute to GRDP growth in the Indragiri Hulu Regency area.
