Pengaruh Tpak, Rata-Rata Lama Sekolah Dan Upah Minimum Terhadap Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka Di Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of TPAK variables, Average Length of Schooling and Minimum Wage on the Open Unemployment Rate in Riau Province in 2002-2021. The analysis method in this study uses secondary data classified as time series data that is descriptive and quantitative. The data analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression model estimation.
The existence of inequality between the number of labor force participation rates and available jobs causes unemployment problems, the percentage of unemployment to the number of labor force is called the open unemployment rate. The results of the analysis show that simultaneously TPAK, Average Length of Schooling and Minimum Wage have a significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate in Riau Province in 2002-2021. Partially, TPAK and Average Length of Schooling have a negative influence and do not have a significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate in Riau Province in 2002-2021. Meanwhile, the Minimum Wage has a negative and significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate in Riau Province in 2002-2021.
The results of the coefficient of determination (R²) are carried out to see how large the proportion of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. In this case, the value of the detemination coefficient used is Adjusted R-Squared which is a corrected coefficient of determination with the number of variables and sample size. So it is known that the Adjusted R-Squared value is 0.676809 or 67.68%. This indicates that 67.68% of changes in the open unemployment rate in Riau Province were experienced by independent variables in this study while the remaining 32.32% changes in the open unemployment rate in Riau Province were influenced by other variables that were not used in this study.
