Identifikasi Dan Isolasi Mikroalga Dari Perairan Rawa Gambut Di Kawasan Kampung Pinang Kecamatan Perhentian Raja Kabupaten Kampar
ABSTRAK
Aquatic ecosystem in the peat area is unique as the pH of the water tends to be low and thus affects organisms living in that area, including microalgae. Due to its environment, the microalgae from the peat area might have specific characteristics. To identify and isolate microalgae from the peat-aquatic area, a study has been conducted on August – December 2022 in the Kampung Pinang Village, Kampar Regency. Samplings were conducted 2 times, once/2 weeks. Microalgae were collected by sieving 100L water sample into 150ml using a plankton net no 42. The microalgae were then identified and 3 most common species were isolated using an agar technique and then they were cultured. Results shown that the were 6 classes of microalgae, namely: Chlorophyceae (8 genus), Zygnematophyceae (2 genus), Cyanophyceae (5 genus), Bacillariophyceae (3 genus), Euglenophyceae (2 genus), and Xanthophyceae (1 genus). There were 4 species of microalgae that could not be identified properly as the characteristics of those microalgae were unique and there was no species with such characteristics found. Those microalgae could be new varieties or even new microalgae species, they Scenedesmus 3, Micraterias, and Surirella 2. The most common species cultured were Chlorella sp., Microcystis sp. and Chrococcus sp. The biomassa of Chlorococcum sp. sebesar 0.23 g/L, Chrococcus sp. 0.1 g/L and Chlorella sp. 0.07 g/L.
