Efek Ekstrak Daun Tampoi (Baccaurea Macrocarpa (Miq) Mull. Arg) Terhadap Hematologi Mencit(Mus Musculus L.) Anemia
ABSTRACT
Anemia is a disease caused by a lack of red blood cells in the body. This disease affects 1.97 billion people globally, ranging from 50-80% of cases caused due to iron deficiency. Iron is most easily absorbed by the body, which is sourced from animal and vegetable foods. Baccaraurea macrocarpa (Miq) Mull. Arg has the potential to be an alternative treatment for anemia because it contains iron, vitamin C, and secondary metabolites, namely flavonoids. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of increasing the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin levels of mice (Mus musculus L.) anemia and get the best dose of tampoi leaf extract in alternative treatment of anemia. The research design used was a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 4 repeats in each treatment. The parameters used in this study were the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin levels. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a real level of 5%. The results showed that the best tampoi leaf extract in increasing the number of erythrocytes was a dose of 200 mg/kgBB with an increase of 6,96 x 106 / mm3 while tampoi leaf extract that had the best effect in increasing hemoglobin levels was a dose of 300 mg/kgBB with an increase of 17,6 g/dL.
Keyfindings: Anemia, hematology, sodium nitrite, tampoi leaves.
