Kajian Palinologi Tiga Sub Famili Fabaceae Di Kawasan Universitas Riau, Panam, Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
Riau University is one of the areas where various plants are distributed, including the Fabaceae family. The purpose of this study was to identify the pollen morphology from three subfamily of Fabaceae from the University of Riau. Sampling in the field was carried out using exploratory method. Pollen preparations were prepared using the acetolysis and non-acetolysis, method and their morphological characters were observed using an Olympus CX-23 microscope. A total of 14 characters were scored and analyzed using Ntsyst to construct dendrogram. The result shows the characteristic of pollen from three subfamily of Fabaceae. Pollen of Caesalpinioideae subfamily show similarities in polar and equatorial lengths (>50 μm). Papilonoideae have pollen characteristics, namely pollen type (medium), aperture porate shape and aperture triporate type. In Mimosoideae it has a characteristic pollen equatorial/polar ratio (1.00-1.05), and a psilate exin ornamentation type. The similarity coefficient ranged from 0,14 to 0,92. The dendrograms are divided into two main groups based on aperture type and shape, polar and equatorial lengths have different values based on each sub-family.
