Analisis Isi Lambung Ikan Gabus (Channa Striata Bloch, 1793) Di Desa Mentulik Sungai Kampar Kiri Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACK
Snakehead fish (Channa striata, Bloch 1793) that lives in Kampar Kiri River uses natural food as. Snakehead fish is a carnivorous fish whose natural fish, insects, plants and debris. Analysis of stomach content provides an overview of the composition of natural feed in fish stomachs and their habitats. The purpose of this study was to determine the type of food, percentage of food and eating habits of snakehead fish from the Kampar Kiri River. The research was conducted using a survey method. Fish samples were caught with nets, traps and fishing rods. Sampling was perfomed twice for one month. Samples of fish stomach content was analyzed by Index of Preponderance (IP). The results of this study indicate that the snakehead fish (Channa striata) is a carnivorous fish. Stomach content was dominated by fish (80%). other contents were insects (8.89%), crustaceans (2.22%), debris (2.22%), Trichogaster sp (2.22%), pieces of plants (2.22%), and Monopterus sp. (0.22%). Stomach contents of female fish were dominated by pieces of fish (84.21%) as the main food, complementary food for Monopterus sp. (5.26%), Trichogaster sp. (5.26%), and insects (5.26%). Contents male fish stomach were dominated by crustaceans (50%), complementary foods of fish pieces, fish pieces, plant pieces, insects and debris (12.50%).
