Analisis Pengaruh Penurunan Cod Reduction Di Aeration Basin #2 Dan #5 Effluent Treatment Plant Pt Rapp
ABSTRACT
The effluent treatment process at PT RAPP is divided into two treatment steps, which are primary treatment and secondary treatment. This process is basically an aerobic process, which converts organic carbon dioxide into CO2 and H2O, NH4 and new biomass cells. Oxygen is supply by mechanical blowing of air. The most general and extensive wastewater treatment system is the activated sludge process. In this process, an aerator to supply oxygen into the aeration basin. Oxygen is used to help microorganisms to decompose organic materials so that the chemical oxygen demand (COD) value is achieved in accordance with the Government Decree regarding Industrial Liquid Waste Quality Standards. The purpose of this study is to know how the COD outlet effect on COD reduction, the effect of microorganisms on COD outlet, COD reduction, and MLSS in aeration basin #2 and #5 Effluent Treatment Plant PT RAPP. The used method in this research is secondary collection. Based on the analysis, it was observed that there is a relationship between the values of COD inlet, COD outlet, and microorganisms to COD reduction. Also, MLSS also has an important role in the value control of microorganisms.
