ABSTRACT
Sabak Auh District, Siak Sri Indrapura Regency, with an area of 10,858 km2 and a population of 12,911 people. To meet their daily needs, the people of Sabak Auh use groundwater and rainwater. The soil conditions in this area have a high level of acidity and are peaty causing the ground water to become very turbid and brown in color which contains organic compounds. This situation makes people unable to use groundwater for their daily needs, except for bathing and washing. Therefore there is a need for other alternatives to meet the needs of clean water by utilizing Rainwater Harvesting technology supported by the Standard Raincycle v2.0 program based on the roof's drip line which forms the boundary of the catchment area and the needs water based on the number of family members of each type of house. The results of testing natural rainwater and rainwater from the reservoir, to reduce detergent levels can be done by using filter media, namely coconut shell activated carbon with sand and silica, with a 35 cm diameter PVC pipe. To meet the demand for clean water in Sabak Auh District, Siak Sri Indrapura Regency, a Catchment Area of 144 m2, 135 m2 and 91 m2 uses 3 tanks and a Catchment Area of 70 m2 and 49 m2 uses 2 tanks to contribute clean water. The budget plan for 3 tanks is Rp. 15,900,000.00 while for 2 tanks Rp. 11,000,000.00.
