Prarancangan Pabrik Ethanolamine Dari Ethylene Oxide Proses Sabic Dengan Desain Alat Utama Kolom Distilasi Monoethanolamine (T-104)
ABSTRACT
Ethanolamine or monoethanolamine specially is organic compound that has two function group, primary amine and primary alcohol. Ethanolamine widely used as raw material production of surfactant, cosmetic, and inhibitor corrosion. Raw material production ethanolamine using ethylene oxide and ammonia with SABIC Technology process. Indonesia’s ethanolamine consumption is fulfilled with import. Ethanolamine plant design using 330 days and 24 hours operation basis. Ethanolamine plant build in Industrial Area Cilegon with capacity 55.000 ton annually. Major design in this capstone design is Monoethanolamine Distillation Column (T-104) to separate main product, monoethanolamine from byproduct, diethanolamine dan triethanolamine. Monoethanolamine distillation column has 29 stages with distillate process condition temperature 173,41°C, pressure 1 bar and bottom process condition temperature 273,89°C, pressure 1 bar. Economic analysis of ethanolamine plant design using SABIC process, value of Return of Investment is 20,43% dan Payback Period is 4,9 years, and feasible to construction process.
