Keanekaragaman Pisang (Musa-Musaceae) Di Pulau Kundur, Kabupaten Karimun, Kepulauan Riau Berdasarkan Karakter Morfologi

ABSTRACT
Pulau Kundur, Kabupaten Karimun, Kepulauan Riau is one of the distribution
area of banana (Musa spp., Musaceae). This plant group shows high variation of
morphological characters. This study aims to identify banana species from
Kundur Island and provide morphological characteristic. This research was
conducted from January 2023 to March 2023. Sampling was carried out using the
exploratory method. Morphological characters were described, scored and
analyzed using NTSys pc 2.02. The result showed that a total of 15 banana
cultivars had been identified from Kundur Island. These cultivars belong to three
banana species, Musa acuminata Colla (nine cultivars), Musa paradisiaca L.
(three cultivars) and Musa acuminata x balbisiana (three cultivars). The main
morphological characters that can be used to distinguished these cultivars are
pseudostem color, shape of petiole canal, leaf base, bract shape and fruit color,
shape and size. The similarity coefficient values range from 0,25 to 0,65.
Dendrogram shows grouping based on morphological characters.
