Kelimpahan Sampah Di Kawasan Pantai Wisata Bungus Kota Padang Sumatera Barat

ABSTRACT
This research was carried out in February 2023, the research location was the Bungus tourist beach area, Padang City, West Sumatra Province. The aim of the research is to determine the type, abundance and mass of rubbish at Nirwana Beach, Pasir Putih Beach and Carolina Beach. The method used is a survey method, with data collection at three stations. Samples/data were carried out at the time weekday (Monday - Friday) and weekend (Saturday and Sunday) Sampling is carried out when sea water is low. The data collection process was carried out by determining a research area of 100 m. Then the area was divided into 20 m lengths each so that there were 5 transects with each plot measuring 5x5. Then all the rubbish contained in the plot is taken, put into sacks/trash bag. Next, characterize the type of waste and calculate it using a formula. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the highest abundance of solid waste was found when weekday amounting to 39.92 units/ , then when weekend amounting to 23.28 units/ . This is caused by the large amount of waste found at the time weekday than weekend.
