Rancang Bangun Sistem Monitoring Suhu Dan Kelembaban Pada Mesin Pembiakan Telur Jangkrik Berbasis Iot
ABSTRACT
Crickets, small insects known for their distinctive sounds, are often heard at night. Communities cultivate crickets due to their economic potential as livestock feed, food ingredients, medicinal resources, and cosmetics. In cricket farming, the breeding of eggs is a method to sustain cricket regeneration. Environmental factors such as temperature and humidity can influence the hatching of cricket eggs. Farmers must regularly monitor the temperature and humidity in the enclosure and adjust lighting or fans as needed. Thus, the "IoT-Based Temperature and Humidity Monitoring System for Cricket Egg Breeding Machines" was developed. This device utilizes DHT22 and RTC sensors to detect temperature, humidity, and time. Data is processed by ESP32 and displayed on an LCD screen, with Telegram notifications and automatic/manual control for lights, fans, and mist makers. A website monitors the cricket enclosure's conditions. The research spanned 7 days and successfully demonstrated an efficiency rate of 36.70% in hatching cricket eggs compared to conventional methods previously used. This device aids in improving cricket egg hatching success and addresses the instability of temperature and humidity common in cricket farming. Results indicate an average temperature of 30.21°C and humidity of 81.10%. It provides a positive impact on cricket production and promotes sustainable cultivation practices.
