ABSTRACT
The establishment of village-owned enterprises (BUMKam) was initiated as a
driving force for the village economy and a desire for the welfare of the
community. This is because the community's need for a high economy. This study
aims to determine and analyze the role of BUMKam spatially in developing
village economic areas and increasing village original income (PAK). The author
took 8 BUMKam in Tualang District. The data in this study were taken from
secondary data and primary data obtained from the annual BUMKam financial
reports and conducted direct observations and in-depth interviews with 24
informants, namely the village chief and BUMKam managers. This study uses a
quantitative descriptive analysis method by analyzing maps and describing data.
Based on the results of the study, it illustrates that the role of BUMKam spatially
in developing the economic area of the village is that there are 6 BUMKam,
namely BUMKam Maju Bersama, BUMKam Tualang Jaya, BUMKam Pinang
Bertuah, BUMKam Tuah Negeri, BUMKam Bintang Timur and BUMKam
Maredan Sejati have no effect and 2 BUMkam, namely BUMKam Sinar Barat and
BUMKam Bakal Sejahtera have an effect on the distance of accessibility in the
development of business zones and there is no compatibility of existing village
potential with the running BUMKam business units. From the results of the
analysis of the role of BUMKam in increasing the village's original income, it is
described as influential but not yet significant and there are still obstacles that
occur. For this reason, the author suggests that BUMKam be able to further
increase revenue in the following year by continuing to develop its business units
and it is hoped that it can increase community empowerment in the future.
