Prarancangan Pabrik Biosurfaktan Proses Fermentasi Glukosa Off-Grade Dengan Desain Alat Utama Kultivator (R-101)
ABSTRACT
Biosurfactant has ability to reduce surface tension and be used as bioremediation to increase the ability to extract petroleum both in land and offshore. In the production of rhamnolipid biosurfactant, Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria are used for biotransformation synthesis and glucose as a substrate. This plant is planned ro operate for 330 days per year with batch system and capacity of 8,000 tons/year in Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung. The company form chosen is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational system. The employee work system is based on the division of working hours consisting of shift and non-shift employees. The main equipment design in this factory is a cultivator (R(102) as a place for cultivating P. aeruginosa bacteria which operates at a temperature of 37°C and a pressure of 1 atm. Economic analysis in the design of this factory shows that this factory is feasible to establish with an NPV value of Rp. 349,062,429,546.94; IRR 22.71%; ROI 20.15%, PBP 4.75 years; and BEP 47%.
