Gambaran Hasil Pemeriksaan Dipstick Urine Sebagai Skrining Awal Infeksi Saluran Kemih Pada Lansia Di Panti Sosial Khusnul Khotimah
ABSTRACT
Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a disease that is caused by microorganism growth in urinary tract. UTI is commonly found in elderly. This disease is increasing due to urinary tract function regression such as urethra sphincter weakening and bladder volume decreasing. Urine dipstick examination can be an early screening test for UTI. In this study, the indicator that can be measured are leukocyte esterase and nitrite. This study aims to describe urine dipstick result as an early screening of UTI in elderly at Khusnul Khotimah Social Home. The design of this study is cross-sectional with descriptive approach, using a total sampling method involving 47 respondents. The research data was obtained through urine dipstick examination. The results stated that leukocyte esterase in elderly at Khusnul Khotimah Social Home showed 70,2% got positive result that is dominated by 80,8% woman respondents in age group of 75-90 years old. Most of the nitrite result is negative (78,7%) that is dominated by 80% man in age group of 60-74 years old. Over all, the percentage of UTI screening showed 72,3% is indicated UTI.
