Perilaku Penggunaan Rokok Elektrik Pada Siswa Smp Negeri 7 Pekanbaru

The use of e-cigarettes (vape) is starting to become a trend among the community and it is not uncommon for teenagers, especially students, to use e-cigarettes (vape). This study focuses more on discussing the behavior of using e-cigarettes (vape) among junior high school students. The purpose and objective of this study was to determine how the behavior and social actions of e-cigarette smoking in students of SMP 7 Pekanbaru. This research uses a qualitative approach method. This research took the location of SMP 7 Pekanbaru. the research collected data through in-depth interviews by taking informants total of 5 people using purposive sampling technique. The conclusion of the results of this study is that student smoking behavior occurs because of observing smoking behavior carried out by family members and friends. Friends who smoke influence these students to behavior and the character of adolescents tends to be formed by the surrounding environment. In addition, the social actions of SMP 7 Pekanbaru students using e-cigarettes (vape) in Max Weber's theory, which includes several actions such as, instrumental actions, affective actions and traditional actions taken by these students.
