Perkembangan Slb Pembina Sebagai Sekolah Berkebutuhan Khusus Negeri Pertama Di Pekanbaru (1998-2021)

Abstract :
This thesis is entitled "Development of SLB Pembina as the First State Special Needs School in Pekanbaru (1998-2021)". This research aims to answer three main questions, namely (1) what is the history of the establishment of the Pembina Pekanbaru State SLB, (2) how was the development of the Pembina Pekanbaru State SLB from 1998 to 2021, and (3) what are the driving and inhibiting factors for the development of the Pembina State SLB Pekanbaru during that period. This research uses a historical approach with data collection methods through field studies in the form of documentation, interviews, as well as archival and library studies. The location of the research was carried out at the Pembina Pekanbaru State Special School. The collected data is analyzed by testing the authenticity of the source and comparing the data found, such as interview results with written evidence. The results of this research conclude that SLB Negeri Pembina Pekanbaru was founded in 1998 as the first state special needs school in Pekanbaru. This school is located on Jl. Fresh No.46, Rejosari, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City. During its development, Pembina Pekanbaru State Special School experienced significant growth, including in terms of infrastructure and number of students and teachers. Supporting factors for the development of this school include the participation and enthusiasm of the founders and teachers, as well as community and government support in the early stages. Meanwhile, the main obstacle faced by SLB Negeri Pembina Pekanbaru was the limited number of teachers, rooms and learning facilities at the start of its establishment.
