Implementasi Kompetensi Guru Sejarah Di SMA Negeri 2 Kota Dumai
This research is qualitative research located at SMA Negeri 2 Dumai City. SMA Negeri 2 Dumai City has 4 history teachers. The background to this research is that a history teacher has received a professional teacher certificate, two teachers have received the Government Employee Program with a Work Agreement (PPPK) but have not yet taken Teacher Professional Education (PPG), and one teacher who has not received a professional teacher certificate. The aims of this research are 1) to look at teachers' perspectives regarding history teacher competence, 2) to look at the implementation of history teacher competence, 3) to look at the obstacles experienced in the implementation of history teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Dumai City. This research uses data collection methods, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The results of research on the competence of history teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Dumai City from the perspective of other teachers show that they have implemented social and personality competence well, apart from that pedagogical competence has also been implemented well by compiling learning tools with teams, then the professional competence of all history teachers has a background in history education, but there is a teacher who has not received a professional teaching certificate. The obstacles experienced in controlling the characteristics of students are related to the teacher's ability to understand the condition of students, the adjustment period for the curriculum transition (the 2013 curriculum became an independent curriculum, the lack of tools that support learning media, increasing professionalism for history teachers who have not participated in the PPPK program, apart from that MGMP which is running ineffectively, and is also hampered by a lack of enthusiasm.
