Identifikasi Faktor-Faktor Risiko Stunting Ditinjau Dari Aspek Ibu Menyusui Di Desa Hangtuah Kecamatan Perhentian Raja Kabupaten Kampar
ABSTRACT
The incidence of short toddlers or what is known as stunting is one of the current issues of particular concern in developing countries, especially Indonesia. Breastfeeding mothers take a major role in providing nutritious food intake and ensuring that the child’s health is maintained. Therefore, this study aims to identify risk factors for stunting from the aspect of breastfeeding mothers in Hangtuah Village, Kampar Regency. The sample in this study consisted of 91 breastfeeding mothers in Hangtuah Village, Kampar Regency. This research is a descriptive study with a cross sectional design through interviews using questionnaires and examination of blood hemoglobin levels. The results of the research show that the majority of breastfeeding mothers aged 20-35 years with normal hemoglobin levels during breastfeeding and giving birth in health facilities and breastfeeding mothers are high school graduates/equivalent and do not work while the majority of fathers work so that the majority of families have incomes less than the district minimum wage Kampar 2023. Characteristics of children, mostly aged 13-24 months, with more girls and the majority of normal distance (≥2 years). Only a small percentage had a history of low birth weight (LBW), while the nutritional status of the children was found to be mostly good. Mother's knowledge about stunting and nutritional intake is categorized as good knowledge. Most mothers' actions for providing nutrition and utilization of health services for their children are appropriate and actively participate.
