ABSTRACT
Learning media has the potential to improve the quality of student learning outcomes. Interactive quizzes are one kind of educational resource that can be used to enhance learning about medical histology education. Histology is a difficult subject in the medical field. Students encounter several challenges, including a lack of time to study histology and trouble understanding terminology. This may impact student learning outcomes. Using interactive tests as a stand-alone educational tool helps improve students' comprehension of the material covered in histology. So the purpose of this research is to assess the level in student knowledge after the of using interactive quizzes on visual system histology as an independent learning medium. This research is a quantitative analytical with a cross sectional design using pre-test and post-test scores, as well interactive quizzes as learning media. The sample of this study was 110 first year students of the Faculty of Medicine University of Riau. The result of the study showed that the majority of respondents' level of knowledge before using the interactive quiz on the histology of the visual system was in poor category and the level of respondents’ knowledge after using the interactive quiz on the histology of the visual system was in sufficient category.
