Profil Kasus Mutilasi Di Provinsi Riau Periode 2014-2023
ABSTRACT
Although mutilation cases are relatively rare, they pose a considerable problem in the field of forensic medicine due to the difficulty in identifying the victim, especially in cases where only bones are found. Mutilation itself is an act against a person by means of deprivation of organs or severe disfigurement and is carried out by cutting. Mutilation is classified into two types, namely defensive mutilation and offensive mutilation. Mutilation cases are not often seen in forensic medicine, especially in Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of mutilation cases in Riau Province 2014-2023. The research design used was retrospective descriptive research on data Visum et Repertum, corpse identification letters and autopsy request letters for mutilation victims at Bhayangkara Pekanbaru Hospital with a total sample of 4 cases. The results showed that the victims of mutilation cases that were autopsied were 2 male sexes (50%) and 2 female sexes (50%), the age of the victims occurred in the age range between 6 - 11 years, 12 - 16 years, 17 - 25 years, and 26 - 35 years each 1 case (25%), the most common cause of death was sharp violence (50%), the most common mechanism of death was cardiovascular system (50%), the most common type of mutilation was defensive mutilation (50%), the most common wound pattern in mutilation victims was flat and neat wound pattern (75%) and all identities of mutilation victims were identified by primary method (100%). The locations of the crime scenes of mutilation cases in this study were Siak, Dumai, Bengkalis and Indargiri Hulu.
