Polimorfisme Gen RVD FokI Pada Dewasa Muda Dengan Obesitas Sentral
ABSTRACT
Central obesity is a condition where fat accumulates in the waist and abdominal cavity. Obesity is related to vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D is a hormone that plays a major role in physiological processes, through a mechanism related to binding to the Vitamin D Receptor (VDR).The purpose of this research is to observe of VDR polymorphism FokI gene in a young adult population with central obesity. This research method is descriptive, using the Multiplex Amplification Refractory Mutation System Polymerase Chain Reaction (ARMS-PCR) technique. The research used blood samples, with a total of 50 samples. Of the total of 50 respondents, 37 people were found to be centrally obese (74%) and 13 people were not centrally obese (26%). The most common VDR FokI gene genotype in respondents with central obesity is Ff, with a total of 18 (48.7%) and in non-central obesity the Ff with 9 (69.2%). The most common allele in central obesity is F 46 (62.2%) and non-central obesity is F 15 (57.7%).
