ABSTRACT


The concept of evidence based medicine in Indonesia is a new paradigm that can be used when making clinical decisions. EBM has become a core part of undergraduate medical education curricula in many countries. Each step is discussed and trained to translate the evidence assessed in clinical practice can enhance critical thinking and lifelong learning. However, EBM is not adequately implemented in medical curricula in some developing countries. Evidence based medicine has three aspects consisting of evidence, doctor's preferences, and patient preferences and situations. Know how the comparison of knowledge and attitudes of Evidence based medicine in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Riau in the second to fourth year. Quantitative research method with observational analytical type and cross-sectional design using evidence based medicine questionnaire distributed to S1 students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Riau conducted in August - December 2023. Overview of knowledge and attitudes of evidence based medicine in S1 students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Riau including medium and neutral criteria so that learning about Evidence based medicine needs to be improved. There was a significant comparison of knowledge and attitudes between the second year with the third year and the fourth year with a p value of 0.000 while between the third year and the fourth year there was no significant difference.
