Gambaran Kontraktur Ekstremitas Atas Pada Kasus Luka Bakar Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Tahun 2018—2022
Contractures are a common complication of burns and if they occur in the upper extremities can interfere with daily activities. Because the hand has a complicated structure, it necessitates significant maintenance and recontruction. The medical records of patients at Arifin Achmad Hospital who suffered burns and developed upper limb contracture between 2020 and 2022 were examined for this study. Of the 67 patients with burn contractures, 42 (67.7%) had burns in their upper extremities. This study's descriptive research design included a cross- sectional analysis of 42 medical record samples. The results of 42 samples in this investigation were based on the location of the affected upper extremities, specifically the hands. Based on the most common patient characteristics, there were 35 instances (76.1%), including the following: age of toddlers (0–5 years), male, The most common cause is hot water, treatment duration of < 2 weeks and burn history > 12 months. Based on operative management, there were STSG individuals. Further research is expected to analyze the characteristics of upper extremity contracture patients, especially age, because toddlers have a high percentage.
