Pengaruh Resiliensi dan Interaksi Sosial Terhadap Optimisme Guru SMP Kecamatan Minas, Kabupaten Siak
Optimism is positive hopes that will help individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. Optimistic and pessimistic attitudes always come and go in every human's life. Optimistic individuals can live life with enthusiasm and have hope for a much better future. An optimistic attitude can also make us always strong and resilient despite the difficulties that come and go, while individuals who are pessimistic will have feelings of fear and easily give up hope in living their lives.
An optimistic attitude will form confidence in oneself that one is able to build good academic performance by creating a new atmosphere in learning and believing in one's own ability to continue to progress regardless of the problems one will face. Teachers who have a sense of confidence in themselves in carrying out the teaching and learning process will automatically form higher expectations for the academic development of their students, expend more effort in teaching and have higher resilience when facing difficult situations.
An optimistic attitude really helps teachers in overcoming difficulties or problems and makes individuals interpret positively all events and experiences in their lives. Teachers who are optimistic have a greater tendency to believe that they will generally experience good outcomes in life and are motivated to take a proactive approach to their health. Teachers who have good resilience will be consistent with a high sense of optimism. Then teachers not only have to have resilience but teachers in carrying out their duties are bound by social interactions. This social interaction is really needed by teachers when they encounter problems in carrying out their duties according to the rules to achieve the goals of the educational process.
This research raises research problems regarding: 1) Is there an influence of resilience on the optimism of junior high school teachers in Minas District, Siak Regency? 2) Is there an influence of social interaction on the optimism of junior high school teachers in Minas District, Siak Regency? And 3) is there a significant influence between resilience and social interaction together on the optimism of junior high school teachers in Minas District, Siak Regency? Then this research aims to analyze; 1) the influence of resilience on the optimism of junior high school teachers in Minas District, Siak Regency; 2) the influence of social interaction on the optimism of junior high school teachers in Minas District, Siak Regency, and 3) knowing the significant influence of resilience and social interaction together on the optimism of junior high school teachers in Minas District, Siak Regency.
This research uses a quantitative approach with the type of research that will be used is ex post facto research. The technique in this research was carried out to analyze the influence of two independent variables, namely resilience (X1), social interaction (X2), on one dependent variable, namely optimism (Y). The population in this study were all teachers in Minas District with a total teacher population of 154 teachers, the research sample was 112 teachers in Minas District Middle School, Siak Regency. The trial was carried out on 30 school teachers from whom the remaining samples were taken. The data collection technique is in the form of an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Meanwhile, what is used to process and analyze data in this research is research data profile analysis techniques in the form of descriptions, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. This research data was analyzed using the SPSS (statistical package for social science) Version.25 program.
The research results showed a significant influence between resilience on optimism, a significant influence between resilience on optimism, and a significant influence between resilience and social interaction together on optimism. The results of this research can be concluded that the better the resilience of the Minas District Middle School teachers, Siak Regency, the better the optimism, likewise the better the social interaction of the Minas District Middle School teachers, Siak Regency, the better the optimism will be, likewise when working together. It is hoped that this research will be useful for improving and increasing teacher resilience and social interaction so that school teacher optimism will have a real influence on the development of education in schools.
