Tradisi Jujuran Pada Perkawinan Masyarakat Mandailing Kecamatan Bangun Purba Kabupaten Rokan Hulu

This resach was motivated by tradition of jujuran at mandailing community marriages in Bangun Purba Village about the existence of various forms and changes in the process of implementing this tradition. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the implementation process occurs tradition of jujuran in previous times and how the implementation process was tradition of jujuran at recent days, the forms and changes that occur in the marriage traditions of the Mandailing community. This research aims to find out the forms, changes and shifts that occur in the process of implementing the tradition of jujuran at marriages in the Mandailing community in Bangun Purba Village. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this research were from the Bangun Purba Village community, namely 6 people from traditional and community leaders. The data analysis technique in this research uses qualitative methods. The findings in this research explain that the process of implementing the tradition of jujuran at weddings in the Mandailing community has experienced changes or shifts, such as in the areas of implementation procedures and people's understanding of the tradition of jujuran, caused by several factors such as advanced education, economics, current developments and communication so that it can cause changes. in implementation that is not in accordance with previous times.
