This study aims to determine the impact of the construction of the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road on the socio-economic community in the Periphery District, to determine the impact of the construction of the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road on income, expenses and land prices in the Pinggir District, and to determine the impact of the construction of the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road. on the social conditions of the people in Pinggir District.
The method used in this study is a quantitative method using primary data as a source of data obtained from interviews and questionnaires as a data collection technique. The population of this study includes people who are affected, both people who have businesses and people who have other jobs and the sample used is 50 respondents.
The results of this study indicate that between the community's income before the construction of the toll road and after the construction of the toll road, a significant result (2-tailed) of 0.020 is smaller than α (0.05) which means there is community income before the construction of the toll road and after highway construction. In public spending before the construction of the toll road and after the construction of the toll road, a significant result (2-tailed) was obtained of 0.837 which was greater than α (0.05), which meant that there was no significant difference in public spending before the construction of the toll road and after highway construction. And the test results of the average difference between land prices before the construction of the toll road and after the construction of the toll road obtained a significant result (2-tailed) of 0,000 less than α (0.05) which means that there was a price of land before the construction of the toll road after the construction of the toll road.
