Pemberian Sekam Bakar dan Kotoran Sapi Pada Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) di Nursery Utama
Oil palm is one of the plantation commodity crops which has an important role in Indonesia as the highest oil producer compared to other vegetable oil producing plants. The area of oil palm plantations in Indonesia until 2020 has reached 14.85 million ha, of which 2.85 million ha are in Riau Province. This research aims to determine the interaction of providing burnt husk as a planting medium and organic fertilizer on the growth of oil palm seedlings in the Main nursery. The research was carried out for 5 months starting from 25 August 2022 to 30 January 2023. Each treatment was repeated 3 times to obtain 36 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of two seeds, so the total number of seeds used was 72 seeds. This research was conducted experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (RAL). The results of the study showed that the treatment of soil and burnt husk in a ratio of 50%: 50%, combined with cow manure at a dose of 216 g per polybag, tended to produce better growth in oil palm parameters such as increase in head circumference, leaf width. and length of leaves of oil palm seedlings in the Main nursery. Based on the research results, it is recommended that to achieve growth of oil palm seedlings in the Main nursery, burnt husks can be given. The best combination of giving soil and roasted husks in a ratio of 50%: 50% and cow manure at a dose of 216 g per polybag.
