Penerapan Pupuk Kalium dan Magnesium pada Komponen Produksi Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) yang Telah Diproduksi pada Tanah Inceptisol
This study aims to determine the effect of potassium and magnesium fertilizers on the production of mature oil palms on inceptisol soil, so that the best recommended dose can be determined to increase oil palm production. The research was conducted in Kepau Jaya Village, Pantai Raja District, Kampar Regency. This research lasted for seven months from March 2022 to October 2022. This research was conducted experimentally using a randomized block design (RBD) with 2 factors. Factor I dose of potassium fertilizer with levels: 0 kg, 3 kg, 4 kg, and 5 kg per plant. Factor II dose of magnesium fertilizer with levels: 0 kg, 1 kg, and 2 kg per plant. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, resulting in 36 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of two sample trees so that the total number of sample trees was 72 trees. Parameters observed were number of female flowers, number of male flowers, sex ratio, number of bunches, bunch weight, fresh fruit weight, fresh fruit volume and mesocarp thickness. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and further tested by DNMRT at the 5% level using the SAS application. The results showed that potassium fertilizer treatment increased fruit bunch weight, fresh fruit weight, fresh fruit volume and mesocarp thickness of the oil palm plants. The single factor of magnesium fertilizer and the interaction of potassium fertilizer and magnesium fertilizer had no effect on all parameters observed for producing oil palm plants.
