Uji Konsentrasi Ekstrak Daun Sirsak (Annona muricata L.) dengan Pelarut Organik Terhadap Mortalitas Ulat Grayak Jagung (Spodoptera frugiperda J.E. Smith) di Laboratorium
Corn is a food crop that contains lots of carbohydrates, fat and high protein. The attack of the fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith) is one of the causes of low corn production. Soursop is a plant that can be used as abotanical insecticides. This study aims to obtain an effective concentration on the mortality of Spodoptera frugiperda. The aim of the study was to obtain organic solvent concentrations of soursop leaf extract that were effective against the mortality of fall armyworm. The research was carried out at the Laboratory of Plant Pests, Faculty of Agriculture and Laboratory of Organic Chemistry and Natural Materials, Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau from March 2023 to May 2023 using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment applications consist of concentrations of 0%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8% and 1% with methanol solvent. Observation parameters consist of initial time of death, lethal time 50, lethal concentration (LC50 and LC95), daily mortality, total mortality, changes in behavior and morphology, temperature and humidity. The results showed that the application of soursop leaf extract had a significant effect on the mortality of the Spodoptera frugiperda pest. Application of soursop leaf extract at a concentration of 1% is an effective concentration in controlling Spodoptera frugiperda larvae because it causes a total mortality of 90.00%, an initial time of death of 11.25 hours and a time of death of 50% at 27.00 hours after application.
