The development of research in the field of medicine, the greater the funds used and their utilization on patients must be more optimal. With that, doctors are expected to have broader insights in diagnostic skills. Therefore, valid information is needed on diagnosis, prognosis, therapy and prevention. This is what makes Evidence Based Medicine develop very rapidly today. Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) is a combination of scientific evidence that is the best research, the clinical ability of doctors, and the patient's tendency towards medical decision making. Therefore, this study aims to determine the description of knowledge, attitudes and practices of Evidence Based Medicine in Residents of the Faculty of Medicine, Riau University. This study is a quantitative study with a descriptive type and cross-sectional design using the Noor EBM Questionnaire distributed to Residents of the Faculty of Medicine, Riau University which was conducted in October - December 2023. The results of this study indicate that the description of knowledge, attitudes and practices of Evidence Based Medicine in Residents of the Faculty of Medicine, Riau University includes moderate, neutral and sufficient criteria. So that it needs to be improved in learning about Evidence Based Medicine.
