Struktur Komunitas Gastropoda Pada Ekosistem Mangrove Di Desa Buruk Bakul Kecamatan Bukit Batu Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau
The mangrove forest in Buruk Bakul Village has experienced damage as a result of community activies such as land clearing, shrimp pond cultivation, consumption fish cultivation and settlements. The damage to the mangrove ecosystem will have a negative impact on aquatic biota, including the gastropods that inhabit the area. To determine the structure of the gastropod community in the mangrove ecosystem, research was carried out in May-June 2023. There were 3 line transects and each transect had 3 plots (10mx10m) and each plot had 3 sub-plots (1mx1m). The results of this research found 12 types of gastropods, namely Nerita balteata, Neritina cornucopia, Chicoreus capucinus, Stramonita gradata, Cerithidea cingulata, Cerithidea obtusa, Cerithidea quadrata, Telescopium telescopium, Ellobium aurisjudae, Cassidula aurisfelis, Cassidula angulifera, and Littoraria scabra. The abundance of gastropods ranged from 139,259 - 31,111 ind/ha. The species diversity index (H') value ranges from 1.34 – 3.21, the dominance index (C) ranges from 0.13-0.52, and the species uniformity index (E) ranges from 0.67-0.90. The characteristics of the mangrove area in Buruk Bakul Village are relatively good.
