Pengaruh Koagulan Kapur, Tawas, PAC (Poli Aluminium Klorida) Terhadap Penjernihan Air Sungai
Siak River, Sail River, and Segati River are some of the major rivers in Riau Province that have high potential aquatic resources and also have different river characteristics. Thequality of river water is relatively low in terms of pH, TDS, color, turbidity and organic substances so that the results of purified water will be physically, chemically, suitable for microalgae Chlorella sp. This study aims to determine the effect of coagulant administration of lime, alum, PAC (Poly Aluminum Chloride) for river water purification. This researchwas conducted in July-August 2023. The formulations used are as follows: P1 (0.4 g/l Lime, 0.25 g/l Alum, 0.30 g/l PAC), P2 (0.35 g/l Lime, 0.5 g/l PAC), P3 (1.30 g/l Lime, 1.50 g/l Alum). pH increased to 7.0 to 7.7. TDS increased t o 259.1 to
489.1 mg/L. Color reduced to 12 to 20 TCU. Turbidity reduced to 0.11 to 0.23 NTU. Organic matter is reduced to 5.5 to 9.3 mg/L. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that P1, P2, P3 can improve river water in a test container. Water that has been treated with P1 (Lime, Alum, PAC), P2 (Lime, PAC), and P3 (Lime, Alum) can be used for microalgae.
