Realita Perempuan Olahraga Dalam Dinamika Kehidupan Sosial: Genealogi Foucault
This research aims to explore the realities faced by women in the context of sports, focusing on the representation of existence, realities in social contexts, and efforts to increase gender awareness. The research problem involves challenges and perspectives that influence women's participation and experiences in the world of sports. This type of research is qualitative with a Foucauldian genealogical approach analyzed through thematic analysis. This approach enables researchers to explore women's subjective experiences, delve into the dynamics of power, and social norms that shape their realities. The research findings reveal that women's support in sports stems from internal and external factors such as family, society, and coaches. Despite negative views and inequalities, some sources also experience positive support from society. Social realities include societal perceptions of female athletes, injustices in treatment by coaches, and negative views on sports instructors in terms of religious norms. In efforts to increase gender awareness, gender awareness in sports is identified as a key to change. Education is considered a solution to enhance gender awareness, with concrete suggestions to increase awareness through education, consciousness-raising, and specialized knowledge for sports instructors. The research conclusion highlights the complexity of challenges faced by women in sports and its theoretical implications with the Foucauldian genealogical approach. Suggestions for further research could be directed towards specific sports branches or age groups. Further analysis of the role of coaches in creating inequalities and negative views towards women in sports can provide deeper insights into internal factors influencing female athletes' experiences.
