Tindakan Sosial Relawan Pada Komunitas Riau Cerdas Pekanbaru

This study is to find out what are the social actions of volunteers in the Riau Smart Community of Pekanbaru and how the activities of volunteers in the activities of the Riau Smart Community of Pekanbaru. The author uses a type of descriptive qualitative approach with the determination of subjects using saturated samples. This research uses Max Weber's theory of social action, he assumes that in social action humans do something because of a goal to be obtained, then an action or movement is carried out. After choosing a goal, they will take into account the circumstances and then choose a course of action. Data collection techniques include interviews with seven subjects and documentation of each activity. The results showed that the social actions of volunteers participating in the activities of the Riau Smart Community of Pekanbaru tend towards instrumental rational actions and value-oriented rational actions because the volunteers prioritize values as their main drive. Despite this, they are not completely independent of rational considerations, advantages, and other factors. Volunteer activities at the Riau Smart Community show that volunteers have the same pattern of activities, especially in the form of teaching activities at reading posts. Despite this, they are able to effectively divide their time with other activities, and teaching activities in this reading post are considered as companions to their main activities.
