Pengaruh Proses Koagulasi Flokulasi Air Gambut Dengan Koagulan Poly Aluminium Chlorida (Pac) Pada Surface Loading Rate (Vo) Dan Waktu Detensi (Td) Menggunakan Kolom Pengendap
Peat water has special characteristics, namely a low pH between 3-5, red-brown in color and contains a lot of organic substances so it does not meet the requirements to meet clean water standards, so it needs to be processed so that it can be used for daily needs. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of the flocculation coagulation process with PAC coagulant on the settling process for the removal of organic substances and colors, to analyze the effect of the flocculation coagulation process on the surface loading rate (Vo) and detention time (Td), to obtain an isoremoval graph of coagulated peat water flocculation with poly aluminum chloride (PAC). The flocculation coagulation process was carried out using a jar test with fast stirring at 100 rpm for 1 minute, slow stirring at 40 rpm for 20 minutes, with variations in PAC dosage, namely 150 mg/L, 160 mg/L, 170 mg/L, 180 mg/L, 190 mg/L, 200 mg/L, 210 mg/L, 220 mg/L. The research results showed that the best dose of PAC was 210 mg/L. The operating conditions varied were column settling depths of 25 cm, 50 cm, 75 cm, 100 cm and 125 cm with sampling times for each port of 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 60 minutes. The results showed that the efficiency of removing organic substances and colors was 95.66% and 91.02% with a depth of 25 cm and a settling time of 60 minutes. The surface loading rate value obtained to produce deposition of 60% organic matter is 70 m3/day-m2 with a detention time of 56 minutes, and the surface loading rate value obtained to produce deposition of 84% color is 62 m3/day-m2 with detention time is 63 minutes.
