Pengaruh Variasi Komposisi Kulit Batang Dan Ampas Sagu Terhadap Karakteristik Briket Dan Konsentrasi Particulate Matter 2.5 (Pm2.5) Hasil Pembakaran Briket
Sago bark and sago pulp are biomass waste from the sago processing process that has not been optimally utilized. The high calorific value of sago bark and pulp, which is 4666.5 cal/gr and 4000 cal/gr, has the potential to be used as briquette fuel. This study aims to analyze the physical and combustion characteristics of briquettes mixed with sago bark and pulp, the concentration of PM2.5 from burning briquettes and to determine the best mixing variation of sago bark and sago pulp for briquettes that comply with Indonesian briquette standards based on SNI. Physical characteristics testing was carried out by proximate test, combustion characteristics testing was carried out by the water boiling test (WBT) method and PM2.5 concentration testing of briquette combustion results was carried out using the Low Volume Air Sampler tool. The variation in this study is the composition of the mixture of bark and sago pulp, namely UR1 (100%: 0%), UR2 (90%: 10%), UR3 (80%: 20%), UR4 (70%: 30%), UR5 (50%: 50%) and UR6 (0%: 100%). The results of this study indicate that the mixing ratio of bark and sago pulp affects the results of physical characteristics, combustion characteristics and PM2.5 concentrations resulting from burning briquettes. The best physical characteristics of sago bark and pulp briquettes that comply with Indonesian briquette standards are found in the UR2 sample, namely 2% moisture content, 10.32% ash content, 20.66% fly matter content, 69.02% bound carbon content and calorific value of 5806.4 cal/g. The most optimal combustion characteristics are found in sample UR2 with ignition time, combustion time, combustion rate, and combustion efficiency of 270 seconds, 4171 seconds, 0.032 g/sec, and 23.776%. The lowest PM2.5 concentration was found in sample UR2 with a PM2.5 concentration of 16.62048 µg/m3.
