Eksplorasi Kajian Etnomatematika Melayu Dalam Bangunan Balai Adat Indra Perkasa Pulau Penyengat Pada Materi Geometri Dan Pengukuran Di Sekolah Dasar
The purpose of this study is to investigate Malay ethnomathematics in the architecture of the Indra Perkasa Traditional Hall on Penyengat Island, as well as the old measurements used by the Malay community of Penyengat Island as a source and material for teaching geometry and measurement in elementary schools. The method employed was an ethnographic study, which is a type of qualitative research. Data collecting methods include observation, interviews, and documentation, as well as other sources such as books and journals. The findings of this study reveal that there is a Malay ethnomathematics study on the architecture of the Indra Perkasa Traditional Hall on Penyengat Island building related to geometry material in elementary schools, including topics such as flat shapes, spatial shapes, and length measurements. Based on the findings of this study, the researcher suggests incorporating Malay ethnomathematics into the architecture of the Indra Perkasa Traditional Hall on Penyengat Island as a source of mathematics learning in phase B geometry material in elementary schools.
