Identifikasi Spesies Nyamuk Anopheles Sp Sebagai Vektor Kejadian Malaria Di Desa Panipahan Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
Malaria is a contagious infectious disease that still occurs frequently in tropical and subtropical countries. Rokan Hilir district had received a malaria elimination certificate in 2018. However, in October 2019, the district reported another case through the Malaria Surveillance Information System (SISMAL). Malaria incidences increased dramatically to 222 cases localized at the Panipahan Regional Health Center. The increasing incidence of malaria could be influenced by several factors, including the host factor consisting of humans and vectors (Anopheles mosquitoes), the agent factor (Plasmodium) and environmental factors in the Rokan Hilir Regency area which consists of land with many rice fields, swamps, plantations and rivers with brackish water. This research was intended to determine the species of Anopeheles mosquitoes and their breeding sites found in Panipahan Village, Rokan Hilir Regency. The sampling was conducted by concecutive sampling technique by capturing mosquitoes at night, observing the environment in the morning and followed by identification of mosquito species in the laboratory. The results of the research obtained 117 mosquitoes in total and after being separated, 31 Anopheles mosquitoes were identified as Anopheles subpictus. Of the 10 locations suspected as breeding sites, only one location, in puddle 1 (10%), was found Anopheles larvae. The conclusion of this research is Anopheles subpictus is the species found in Panipahan Village, Rokan Hilir Regency and puddles are the breeding sites for Anopheles mosquitoes
